Originally trained as a visual artist, this displaced Texan began performing in 2008 when he was invited to play honky-tonk piano and squeezebox with the popular Southern California, Orange County roots band The Vaquetones. Jason has since backed up notable artists in the states and abroad such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Duane Eddy and Wanda Jackson, Grammy nominee Lisa Haley, Chris Montez, Barbara Lynn, Dick Dodd, Deke Dickerson, and many other local southern California acts ranging in styles from Jump Blues, Country, New Orleans, Rockabilly, Soul, and Rock. His energetic keyboard stylings have made him a fixture in the Los Angeles roots music scene.
In the last 5 years Jason has been actively recording and performing with the 60’s garage rock band The Outta Sites, with whom he regularly tours the U.S. and Europe. In addition to recording new material with The Outta Sites and other bands, he is currently writing and recording material for a solo project exploring his love of the banjo and Americana music.
Jason lives in Northeast Los Angeles with his wife Karlyn, their awesome son Truman and their silly but sweet corgis Boog and Winston.
