Originally trained as a visual artist, this displaced Texan began performing in 2008 when invited to play honky-tonk piano and squeezebox with the Southern California roots band Miguel Garcia and The Vaquetones. Jason has since backed up notable artists in the states and abroad such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Duane Eddy and Wanda Jackson, 60s guitarist and singer Chris Montez, RnB singer and guitarist Barbara Lynn, Grammy nominee Lisa Haley, Deke Dickerson, Dick Dodd and many other local southern California acts ranging in styles from Jump Blues, Country, New Orleans, Rockabilly, Soul, and Rock. His energetic keyboard stylings have made him a fixture in the Los Angeles roots music scene.
In the last 6 years Jason has been actively recording and performing with the 60’s rock band The Outta Sites, with whom he regularly toured Europe and the U.S. In addition to recording with other bands, in the spring of 2019 he is releasing his debut solo roots-music album Remember Me With Your Feet.
Jason lives in Northeast Los Angeles with his wife Karlyn, their awesome son Truman and their corgis Boog and Winston.
